Electric cars
During the 2005 Aichi (Nagoya city is in Aichi prefecture) the use of electric cars was showcased. The company, Comes, produces the cars in Aichi.
I have a friend who owns one and shes been driving it for years. I took a ride in it (well, I drove it since it has only 1 seat) and its cool. It makes no sound when driving, and has a fantastic turning radius. She gets about 50kms of driving before needing a recharge.
